"America's Got Talent" Scores Big in the Ratings

"America's Got Talent" premiered to big ratings when it debuted last Tuesday. The third season premiere was watched by 12.8 million viewers, which makes it the most watched summer debut so far. It was also the most watched network telecast since the May 22nd finale of "Grey's Anatomy". All of this on top of the fact that it aired opposite the NBA Finals on ABC.

The premiere featured the usual motley crew of wackos, drag queens, burlesque dancers, old people and contortionists. Oh... yeah, and people who actually have talent. But who watches the show for them?

Here's one of the aforementioned wackos who states he wants to be the "#1 performer in the United States". Whatever the hell that means...
