Michael Sarver Voted Off "American Idol 8"

On tonight's "American Idol" results show, it was the end of the road for 27-year old oil rigger Michael Sarver. Yesterday, the Top 10 sang Motown songs, with Smokey Robinson serving as their mentor. Adam Lambert, Anoop Desai, and Alison Iraheta were the standouts, two of which sang Smokey Robinson songs. On the results show, there was quite a shocker when Matt Giraud landed in the bottom three along with Michael and Scott MacIntyre. However, it was Michael who received the fewest votes and had to sing one final time to try and save himself. Unfortunately for him the judges didn't save him and he was eliminated. Next week the Top 9 will perform songs from iTunes Top 100 Most Downloaded Songs of All Time. Who will be the next to go?
