Mark & Michael Arrive Last on the Second Non-Elimination Leg of "Amazing Race 14"
"Brothers/Stuntmen" Mark and Michael Munoz escaped elimination on yesterday's second non-elimination leg of "Amazing Race 14". The episode started with the five remaining teams traveling from Phuket to Bangkok, Thailand. Once there, they drove to a local boat town where a Roadblock awaited them. The task had one team member attach a propeller to a traditional longtail boat. When the task was done, the teams would navigate their boats to Peninsula Pier to get their next clue. Mark & Michael and Kisha & Jen decided to leave their bags with their cabs, which proved to be a costly mistake. Upon arrival at the pier the teams faced a Detour which forced them to choose between matching pairs of dentures to five waiting patients or sitting through Bangkok traffic while singing karaoke. Margie and Luke were the only team to choose the dentures and subsequently arrived first at the Pit Stop, Phya Thai Palace, and won a trip for two to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Before attempting the Detour Mark & Michael decided to travel back to their cab to get their bags. Kisha and Jen, on the other hand, went straight to the Pit Stop but were told to go get their valuables before they could be checked in. Mark & Micheal then arrived at the Pit Stop but incurred a four hour penalty for using their supplies to pay a cab driver. That allowed Kisha & Jen to check in fourth and made Mark & Michael the last team to arrive. However, Phil informed them it was a non-elimination leg and they were safe for one more week. Will the brothers become the second team to leave because of the dreaded Speed Bump? Tune in next week to find out!
