Jimmy Johnson Voted Off "Survivor: Nicaragua"

On tonight's "Survivor: Nicaragua" 67 year old former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson became the third castaway voted off the show. The episode began with Marty deciding to reveal the hidden immunity idol to his fellow tribe mates. The tribe agreed to use the idol to help them get farther post merge. Later, the tribes met up for another combined Reward/Immunity challenge which consisted of arranging ten large barrels into a triangle formation and then tossing a sandbag onto each barrel. The La Flor tribe decided not to use their Medallion of Power to give them an advantage, which proved to be a smart choice as they ended up beating Espada without it. Besides immunity they were also awarded with spices, fruit and an herb garden. Hidden in the fruit basket was a clue to the location of the immunity idol and both NaOnka and Kelly B spotted it. The two girls tussled over the clue with NaOnka ultimately grabbing it first. She shared the clue with Brenda but neither girl could figure out the puzzle. Over on Espada Marty pushed hard to get everyone to vote off Jimmy J and in the end he got his way as Jimmy was unanimously voted out.

Brad Womack Returning as "The Bachelor"

In a bit of surprising news "Bachelor" spoiler extraordinaire Reality Steve is reporting that Brad Womack will be returning as the series' fifteenth "Bachelor". Brad was the star of the eleventh season of the show where he didn't choose either of the final two women - Deanna Pappas and Jenni Croft. "All signs are pointing to Brad being the next Bachelor" Reality Steve wrote. "And it's not that far fetched because apparently they asked him last year before asking Jake Pavelka". Earlier reports indicated that ABC wanted "Bachelorette" finalist Chris Lambton from Ali's season to be the next "Bachelor", but that Chris turned down the offer.

UPDATE: On tonight's episode of "Dancing with the Stars" ABC confirmed that Brad would indeed be the new "Bachelor".

"Best Friends" Ron & Tony the First Team Eliminated on "The Amazing Race 17"

On tonight's season premiere of "The Amazing Race 17" best friends Ron Kellum and Tony Stovall became the first team eliminated from the race. The season began with the eleven new teams arriving in Gloucester, Massachusetts. Before the teams received their first clue Phil informed them of a new twist in the game. The team that arrived first on this leg would be awarded the "Express Pass" which will allow them to skip any one task of their choice up to leg eight. With that, Phil started the race and the teams learned their first destination was London, England. The first three teams to get to the airport got an earlier flight and a half hour advantage. When they landed in England the teams were instructed to make their way to Stonehenge. Once there, they had to decipher a clue that led them to Eastnor Castle. At the castle the teams had to climb a ladder while peasants poured dirty water on them. They then had to cross the moat on a small boat without capsizing. Their final challenge was a Roadblock, where one team member had to use a slingshot to launch a watermelon and knock over a suit of armor. Brook and Claire were one of the first teams to arrive at the Roadblock, but suffered a setback when one of the watermelons flung back and smashed Claire in the face. Jill and Thomas were the first team to complete all the tasks and arrived at the Pit Stop first, earning them the "Express Pass". Ron and Tony weren't so lucky as they arrived last and were eliminated from the race.

Here's this week's Elimination Station...

An "Amazing Race 17" boot list has been leaked. To find out which teams make it to the Final 3 read my secret post here!

"American Idol" Makes Format Changes, Adds New Judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez

FOX has revealed significant format changes to it's long running singing competition "American Idol" as well as confirmed Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez as new judges. The biggest change is that each contestant will choose one genre of music to perform throughout the competition. "We are no longer going to get the country singer to sing rock and the rock singer to sing folk" said producer Nigel Lythgoe. The show will also add producer Jimmy Iovine as an "in-house mentor" who will advise the contestants each week. Jimmy's addition means no more guest mentors or theme weeks. However, different producers such as Timbaland will be brought in each week to work with the contestants. Those contestants will also face new rules regarding how they perform their songs. "We've got a whole new set of rules that are going to come in, that we're not just going to copy the tracks that have been there before" Lythgoe said. "And they're no longer just going to be standing there... we will want them to move. Artists nowadays don't just stand on the spot. Nothing can be the same for ten years or it's doomed to failure. This is an evolution, and I think the producers and Fox have really put together an incredible team for that evolution."

Shannon Elkins Voted Off "Survivor: Nicaragua"

On tonight's "Survivor: Nicaragua" 30 year old pest control company owner Shannon Elkins became the second castaway voted off the show. The episode began with Holly getting riled up at her Espada tribe mates for no reason whatsoever. She even took Dan's shoes, filled them with sand and threw them in the ocean. Over on the La Flor tribe NaOnka also got upset when she thought someone had taken her socks. Later, the tribes met up for the combined Reward/Immunity challenge which consisted of crawling through mud, searching for balls in a haystack and tossing those balls into a barrel. The older tribe, Espada decided to use their Medallion of Power giving them a one ball advantage in the game. That was just what the tribe needed, as Espada narrowly beat out La Flor for the win. In addition to immunity the Espada tribe also won fishing gear. Back at camp when the gear arrived it also contained a clue to the hidden immunity idol. Jill and Marty worked together to find the idol and eventually did just that. Over on La Flor half the tribe wanted to get rid of Brenda, while the other half wanted to vote off Shannon. At tribal council Shannon immediately went on the defense causing the whole tribe to blow up. When all was said and done Shannon was voted out 7-3.

Wendy Jo Voted Off "Survivor 21: Nicaragua"

On tonight's season premiere of "Survivor: Nicaragua" 48 year old goat rancher Wendy Jo DeSmidt became the first castaway voted off the show. The season began with the twenty contestants arriving in Nicaragua and immediately being told about a new twist in the game - the medallion of power. The castaways frantically started searching for it, with Brenda eventually finding it in a tree. Jeff then split the castaways into two tribes - La Flor (made up of people 30 and under) and Espada (made up of people 40 and over). The young tribe was then given the choice to use their medallion of power for flint and fishing supplies or save it for an advantage later in the game. They chose the flint and fishing supplies, meaning the medallion would be passed over to the other tribe. When the Espada tribe arrived at their camp Jane immediately started working on lighting a fire and less than thirty minutes later had done just that. Over on the La Flor tribe Kelly B. revealed to her tribe mates that she has a prosthetic leg. Her and Alina also found a clue to the hidden immunity idol and kept it for themselves. The next day the tribes met up for the Immunity Challenge, which was transporting water down a series of gutters to fill a barrel. When the barrel was filled puzzle pieces were released which the teams had to assemble. The Espada tribe chose not to use their medallion of power, which proved to be a big mistake as they ended up losing the challenge. At tribal council the castaways decided to vote out the weakest player and unanimously booted Wendy Jo.

"Big Brother 12" Spoilers: Hayden Wins PoV

Earlier this evening the "Big Brother 12" houseguests competed in the last PoV competition of the season and Hayden emerged triumphant. About an hour ago the three boys informed Britney about the secret Brigade alliance and essentially told her she was going home. At first Britney seemed to take the news well, but as it slowly sunk in she broke down in tears and ran to the diary room where she stayed for quite a while. When she emerged she said very little to the guys and headed to bed. Now it's a lock that Britney will be going home on Wednesday, the only question is which Brigade member will she vote for and how will the news land with the other jury members? The final three part HoH competition starts Wednesday and will conclude live on finale night the following Wednesday. At this point only one thing's for sure: a Brigade member will win $500,000 & be the winner of "Big Brother 12"!
