Darryl Strawberry Fired on Celeb Apprentice

On the third episode of "Celebrity Apprentice 3" former baseball player Darryl Strawberry was fired by the Donald after he expressed his desire to leave. The show began with Donald telling the contestants that their new task was to create a four page advertorial promoting LifeLock and Norton's identity theft services. Michael Johnson was picked as project manager for the guys, while Summer Sanders was chosen by the women. Michael chose Curtis Stone as the face of their ad, while the women picked Sharon Osbourne as the star of theirs. On the men's team Bret Michaels voiced his displeasure with their long, wordy ad but no one listened to him. Over on the women's side Cyndi Lauper continued to aggravate her teammates with her constant long-winded stories. After the two teams gave their presentations, Trump called them into the boardroom to announce a winner. The execs thought the women's ad was much better, so Summer got $20,000 for her charity. While Trump seemed about ready to fire project manager Michael, Darryl piped up & said he should be fired. Trump, never the fan of quitters, granted his request and sent him packing.

"Brothers/Cowboys" Jet and Cord McCoy Avoid Elimination on "The Amazing Race 16"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 16" brothers Jet and Cord McCoy avoided elimination despite arriving last on this leg's Pit Stop. The episode began with the remaining six teams flying from France to Mahe in the Seychelles islands. When they arrived the teams raced for a marked kiosk where the first three teams received the earlier of two helicopter flights to a nearby island. When they landed the teams faced a Detour, which was a choice between luring a 500 pound giant tortoise across a path using a banana or loading a cart full of coconuts and then having an ox pull the cart to a fruit merchant. Steve and Allie chose a speedy tortoise, which rocketed them to the lead. Many other teams who chose the ox task forgot a few coconuts and had to backtrack to complete the task. After the Detour was a Roadblock where one team member had to dive into the ocean to retrieve a bottle. In the bottle was a map that teams had to put together for directions to the Pit Stop. Steve and Allie were the first to reach the Pit Stop and were awarded dinner on the beach and $7,000 each. Jet and Cord & Carol and Brandy were swapping last place during the Detour, but a mistake at the Roadblock by the cowboys let the lesbians get ahead. In the end the cowboys were spared elimination & got a Speed Bump task for next week.

Tyson Apostol and James Clement Both Voted Off "Survivor 20: Heroes Vs Villains"

Tyson Apostol and James Clement were the victims of the dreaded double elimination on "Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains". The sixth episode began with Jeff announcing that both tribes would be going to tribal council and that teammates would be battling each other for individual immunity. Candice won for the Heroes tribe while Boston Rob was crowned the winner for the Villains. Those two then faced off to win a reward for their tribe, which Boston Rob ended up earning for the Villains. Back at camp the Villains devised a plan to flush out Russell's idol and get rid of Parvati. When Russell got wind of the plan he tricked Tyson into flipping his vote which shifted the power back to him and Parvati. At tribal council Russell's plan worked perfectly as he gave his idol to Parvati and got rid of Tyson. The Villains then got to sit in on the Heroes' tribal council where everyone unanimously voted to keep Colby and get rid of the injured James.

Sinbad Fired on "Celebrity Apprentice 3"

On the second episode of "Celebrity Apprentice 3" comedian Sinbad became the first man fired by Donald Trump. The show began with the teams learning that their new task was to design a storefront experience promoting Kodak Moments. WWE Diva Maria Kanellis was picked as project manager for the women, while the men chose Sinbad. Right away Sinbad had trouble communicating his ideas to the rest of his team while Maria had to reign in Cyndi Lauper, who had trouble concentrating. On the men's team Bret Michaels clashed with Sinbad when he felt he wasn't given anything to do. On the second day of the task the teams set up their stores and had the public come in and take pictures. Trump also sent two secret agents to the stores to see how the celebs were doing. When all was said and done the Kodak execs liked both teams but felt the women did better in pitching the products. That meant the men were sent to the boardroom where project manager Sinbad picked Bret and Rod as the two weakest members. Donald, however placed the blame on the project manager and fired Sinbad.

"Newly Dating Couple" Jeff and Jordan Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 16"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 16" newly dating couple Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd became the fifth team eliminated from the race. The episode began with the seven teams driving to Reims, France where they had to find a statue of Joan of Arc. By the statue was a musician who gave the teams a cork, which directed them to a winery in Epernay. There they found a Roadblock, which required one teammate to rappel down into the cellar and search for a marked bottle of wine. In the bottle was the name of their next destination: a chateau in Pierry. However, many teams including Dan and Jordan & Jet and Cord went to the wrong location causing them to fall behind. At the chateau teams faced a Detour, which was a choice between building a tower using 680 wine glasses or searching for marked grapes in a 250 acre vineyard. Louie and Michael were the first team to complete the task and reached the Pit Stop first for the third time in a row. Brent and Caite switched tasks twice, but were still able to beat last place team Jeff & Jordan who were eliminated from the race.

NBC and Donald Trump Bringing Back Non-Celebrity Version of "The Apprentice"

NBC announced today that they are reviving the original, non-celebrity version of "The Apprentice". The bad economy and jobless Americans will be the focus of the show's reboot. "So many people have been asking us when are we bringing the original show back" Trump told Daily Variety. "I'm not sure I had that interest two and a half or three years ago. But the concept of what has happened with the economy has really stoked interest". The show will stick with the same format but will cast contestants affected by the recession including people who have been downsized, people in dead-end careers with no hope for advancement and recent college graduates with few job prospects. Also, each episode will end with Trump giving career coaching to exiting players. "NBC, Mark Burnett and I hope this economic downturn can begin a turnaround and we'll do our best with 'The Apprentice' to see that it starts happening" Trump said. Filming will take place this summer with a suspected fall premiere followed by another celebrity edition in early 2011.

Carol Leifer Fired on "Celebrity Apprentice 3"

On the season premiere of "Celebrity Apprentice 3" comedian Carol Leifer became the first star fired by The Donald. The season started with the 14 celebs meeting Donald and being divided into men vs. women. The teams were then told that they would be choosing the project manager for the opposing team. The women, who named themselves Tenacity, picked Bret Michaels while the men, who named themselves Rock Solid, chose Cyndi Lauper. Donald then explained that the first task would be to run a diner. The team that earned the most money, through donations and tips, would be the winner. Bret automatically handed most of the decisions over to Curtis Stone, the celebrity chef. Curtis decided to charge a lot for the food hoping to attract big spenders. The women on the other hand set the price point low hoping to sell more volume. The celebrities also called on their contacts to help raise money for their teams. Last season's winner Joan Rivers also stopped by both diners to help determine a winner. She liked the women's team better, so they received an extra $10,000. In the end though the money didn't matter as the men still beat the women by almost $20,000. In the boardroom many of the women blamed Carol for the loss, so Trump respected their wishes and fired Carol.

Which celeb are you rooting for? Leave a comment & say!

"Married Couple" Joe and Heidi Wang Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 16"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 16" married couple Joe and Heidi Wang became the fourth team eliminated from the show. The episode began with the eight teams taking a bus from Hamburg, Germany to Lorraine, France. However the teams didn't know where they were being taken to. When they started the leg the teams had to find a bakery where their clue was hidden inside a baguette. It instructed them to the Detour where the choice of tasks was between deciphering a message in Morse code or crawling under barbed wire while dodging explosions. At the end of the task was a U-Turn which could be used to make one team do both Detour tasks. Louie & Michael finished the challenge first and used the U-Turn on Joe & Heidi. When last place team Jeff & Jordan arrived they were faced with their Speed Bump task, which was reinforcing a trench wall using branches. After they completed the Speed Bump Jeff & Jordan overtook Joe & Heidi, who were still doing the Morse code challenge. Finally, the teams rode bicycles to the Pit Stop, where Louie & Michael once again came in first. Even with Brent & Caite having to backtrack to pick up a missed clue, Joe & Heidi couldn't overcome the U-Turn and were eliminated from the race.

"Dating Couple" Jeff and Jordan Avoid Elimination on "The Amazing Race 16"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 16" dating couple Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd avoided elimination despite arriving last on this leg's Pit Stop. The episode began with the eight teams flying from Argentina to Hamburg, Germany. When they arrived the teams were forced to pair up with another team to complete this leg's Roadblock. One member of each team had to navigate the German metro to get to a bungee jumping location where they had to leap from a crane 150 feet in the air. When the teams split up they were faced with this leg's Detour. The choice was between hitting a soccer ball through five targets or eating a plate of sauerkraut before a polka song finished playing. Louie and Michael sped through the tasks and took the lead, while Jeff and Jordan fell to last because their cab driver got them lost. When the Detour was over the teams had to make their way to a pub in the Red Light District and drink a boot of beer. Louie and Michael arrived at the Pit Stop first and were awarded $5,000. Jeff and Jordan weren't able to make up any time & finished last. However, since it was a non-elimination leg all they got was a Speed Bump task for next week.

On the fourth episode of "Survivor: Heroes Vs Villains" Cirie Fields was voted out in the first blindside of the season. The episode began with Coach breaking down about Sandra's comment at tribal council. Tyson consoled him and gave him some advice on how to seem less egotistical. The next day at the Reward Challenge the Villains defeated the Heroes and were awarded tools for building their shelter. When they returned to camp both tribes discovered a clue revealing that there was a hidden immunity idol at each camp. The Villains decided not to go looking for it, but Russell did anyway. The Heroes on the other hand frantically started searching, culminating with Tom finding the idol under a tree. However, Amanda saw him so Tom had to admit he found it. At the Immunity challenge the Villains once again defeated the Heroes, sending them to tribal council for the third time. With Tom in possession of the idol, he and Colby needed one person to flip sides and vote out Cirie. That person ended up being JT, who surprised his alliance and kept Colby. Tom played his idol and Cirie was sent home.

On tonight's "American Idol" results show four more semifinalists were eliminated from the competition. Tuesday's performance show mixed it up a bit, when the men performed instead of the scheduled women. That was due to a medical issue with Crystal Bowersox, who ended up performing on Wednesday with the rest of the women. Many of the men showed marked improvements from last week including Michael Lynche, Alex Lambert and Tim Urban. The women though continued to outpace the men as Lilly Scott, Katelyn Epperly, Siobhan Magnus & Crystal wowed the judges.
