Melanie Amaro Wins "The X Factor USA"

On tonight's season finale of "The X Factor USA" 19 year old Melanie Amaro was crowned the winner and was awarded the $5 million recording contract. Yesterday, the Final 3 performed two last songs - a duet with a famous singer and a final song of their choice. Josh dueted with Alanis Morissette, Chris sang with Avril Lavigne and Melanie performed with R. Kelly. After the contestants sang both their songs, the voting lines were opened and America cast their votes for a winner. Tonight, the final three performed holiday songs and there were performances from Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, 50 Cent, Leona Lewis, Pitbull and Ne-Yo. Halfway through the show, Steve revealed that the person who received the least amount of votes and landed in third place was Chris Rene. The finale culminated with Steve revealing that the winner of the first season of "The X Factor USA" was Melanie Amaro, meaning Josh Krajcik came in second. Did Melanie deserve to win? Or were you rooting for Josh or Chris? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

Sophie Clarke Wins "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" season finale 22 year old medical student Sophie Clarke was crowned the winner and was awarded the $1 million prize. The episode began with the final duel at Redemption Island, where Ozzy and Brandon faced off to see who could hold onto a large pole the longest. After 40 minutes, Brandon was the first to fall and was eliminated from the game for good. With his sixth straight win, Ozzy was finally allowed to re-enter the game. Back at camp, Coach told Ozzy he still planned to take him to the final three and would even be willing to give him his hidden idol if he won the next immunity challenge. At said immunity challenge, the castaways competed to build a house of cards on a wooden board while balancing their board with one hand. Ozzy knew he had to win and in the end he did just that, earning himself immunity & a guaranteed spot in the final four. At tribal council, Albert, Coach and Sophie decided to vote out Rick, fearing the jury would give him the million if he made it to the finals. Also at tribal, Ozzy spilled the beans about Coach offering to take him to the end. Back at camp, Coach voiced his displeasure to Ozzy about telling the others their plan to go to the end together. Ozzy said he did it because he was burned in past seasons by people he thought he could trust. The next day, the tribe competed in their final immunity challenge, which consisted of racing through various obstacles to retrieve five bags and then using the pieces in those bags to solve a puzzle. Ozzy got off to an early lead, but struggled once he got to the puzzle. That allowed Sophie the chance to catch up and ultimately overtake Ozzy, winning the all important immunity. At camp, Ozzy made one final plea to Coach to force a tie at tribal council which would allow him to face off against Albert in a fire making challenge. Ultimately, Coach decided he couldn't keep Ozzy in the game and he was unanimously voted out, becoming the ninth and final member of the jury. On Day 39, after the traditional final three breakfast, Coach, Albert and Sophie made their way to tribal council where the jury grilled them before they made their decision. After the votes were cast, we joined Jeff live in Los Angeles for the final vote reading. By a vote of 6-3 Sophie beat Coach & was named the sole Survivor. Albert didn't receive one vote. Unsurprisingly, Ozzy was voted Fan Favorite and was awarded $100,000. Jeff also confirmed that next year will be "Survivor 24: One World". Check out my old post here for all the scoop on next season.

What did you think of the finale? Are you happy Sophie won or were you rooting for someone else? Leave a comment below!

Marcus Canty Voted Off "The X Factor USA"

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Marcus Canty became the ninth act voted off the show. Yesterday, the Top 4 acts performed two songs each - a song chosen by America and one picked by their mentors. The judges had mostly positive comments for all the contestants. Tonight, Steve revealed that Chris, Melanie and Josh had made it into next week's finals. That meant Marcus Canty had received the least amount of viewer votes and was eliminated from the competition. Next week, the final three battle it out in the big finale and either Chris Rene, Melanie Amaro or Josh Krajcik will be crowned the winner of "The X Factor"! Who do you think will win?

Brandon Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" Brandon Hantz became the fifteenth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with the five remaining castaways traveling to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Ozzy and Edna. The challenge consisted of solving a slide puzzle, releasing a bag of four colored cubes and then stacking the cubes so that none of the same color repeated on each side. Even with the Upolu members helping Edna, Ozzy ended up winning the challenge and sent Edna home for good. Back at camp, Coach, Sophie and Rick were in agreement that Brandon should be voted out next, but Albert wanted to shake things up and vote out Sophie. The next day, the tribe competed in the Reward/ Immunity challenge which consisted of using a rope to climb a steep wall and collect five bags of puzzles pieces. Those pieces were then matched up into pairs until only three unmatched tiles remained. The numbers on those tiles made up a code that unlocked a box at the top of the wall. Brandon was the first castaway to input the code, earning himself immunity. He was also awarded pizza and soft drinks delivered to camp. He was able to choose one castaway to share the pizza with and he chose Rick. Back at camp, Coach and Sophie had to change their plans now that Brandon was safe and they decided to target Albert. Later, Rick accused Albert of promising to take him to the final three with no real intention to do it. With Albert now odd man out, he approached Brandon about working with him. Brandon felt so strongly about protecting Albert, he even offered to give him his immunity necklace at tribal council. When he told this to Coach, Coach was flabbergasted and prayed to God for help on who he should vote out. At tribal, Brandon did indeed give his immunity to Albert, shocking Jeff and the jury. With Albert and Brandon voting out Sophie and Sophie and Rick voting out Brandon, the deciding vote came down to Coach. Listening to what God told him, Coach voted out Brandon and he was sent to Redemption Island. On this Sunday's season finale, either Brandon or Ozzy will return to the game and one of the final five will be crowned the winner!

Ernie and Cindy Win "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's season finale of "The Amazing Race 19" engaged couple Ernie Halvorsen & Cindy Chiang beat Jeremy & Sandy and Marcus & Amani to be crowned the winners of the race. The episode began with the final three teams flying from Panama City, Panama to Atlanta, Georgia. When they landed, teams made their way to Flight Safety International where they had to learn how to operate a Learjet flight simulator. Once each team successfully landed their airplane, they would receive their next clue. Marcus had trouble completing the task, causing him and Amani to fall way behind. The next clue instructed them to "the former residence known as The Dump", which teams had to figure out meant the house of "Gone with the Wind" author Margaret Mitchell. Jeremy and Sandy, however, traveled to a store called The Dump, which allowed Cindy and Ernie to take the lead. At the house, teams faced their final Roadblock which required one team member to type out their next clue using an old Remington typewriter. Teams also had to figure out that they had to use a lowercase L in place of a 1, since the typewriter was missing the 1. When the task was completed, teams had to decode their numerical clue and figure out it was leading them to Turner Field. When they arrived at the ballpark, teams faced their final challenge: retracing their travels on the race from start to finish on a giant map. One team member was hoisted onto the map in rock climbing gear and used a long rope to mark each country they stopped in. When the task was completed, teams were instructed to travel to the Swan House and race for the Finish Line. Ernie and Cindy crossed the Finish Line first & won the $1 million prize. Jeremy & Sandy arrived second, followed by Marcus & Amani in third.

Are you happy that Ernie and Cindy won? Or were you rooting for one of the other teams? Comment and share your thoughts!

Rachel Crow Voted Off "The X Factor USA"

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Rachel Crow became the eighth act voted off the show. Yesterday, the Top 5 acts performed two songs each - a dance hit and a song of their choosing. The second song was originally going to be the one America voted for, but because of a technical glitch those songs were pushed to next week. That meant the contestants only had 24 hours to rehearse a brand new song. The judges agreed that Chris Rene was the standout of the night, thanks in part to his decision to perform an original song he had written. Tonight, Steve revealed that the two acts with the least amount of viewer votes were Marcus Canty & Rachel Crow. Those two contestants then sang one more time before the judges voted on who should go home. L.A. and Nicole voted to send home Rachel, while Simon and Paula voted to send home Marcus, creating another Deadlock. Since the judges were split on who to eliminate, the decision shifted back to America. Steve revealed that the person with the least amount of votes was Rachel & she was eliminated from the competition. Did Rachel deserve to go? Or should Marcus have gone instead? Comment and share your thoughts!

Edna Ma Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" Edna Ma became the fourteenth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with the six remaining castaways being given a Sprint phone which contained video messages from their loved ones. After watching the videos, they made their way to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Ozzy and Cochran. The challenge consisted of retrieving three sandbags using a grappling hook and then guiding a ball through a handheld maze full of holes. The challenge was neck and neck at the end, but Ozzy once again pulled out the win, sending Cochran home for good. Jeff then told Ozzy that he would have to choose which three castaways would get to spend time with their loved ones. Ozzy ended up picking Albert, Coach & Brandon to receive the family time. The other three castaways had to go back to camp, while Ozzy's picks and their loved ones stayed at Redemption Island. During the family visit, Brandon's dad told him to focus more on the game and not reclaiming the Hantz name. Also, Coach pulled Ozzy aside and told him he wanted to go to the Final 3 with him, much to Ozzy's surprise. The next day, the tribe competed in the Immunity challenge, which consisted of moving around on a large game board one space at a time without ever landing on a used space. The challenge came down to Coach & Edna, with Coach ultimately emerging the winner. Back at camp, Edna made one last plea to her tribemates to keep her in the game and get rid of Brandon instead. However, it was all in vain because at tribal council she was unanimously voted out. Next week, she'll duel four time challenge champion Ozzy for the right to stay in the game!

"Friends/Snowboarders" Andy and Tommy Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" friends/snowboarders Andy Finch and Tommy Czeschin became the eighth team eliminated from the race. The episode began with the four remaining teams dressing up as two characters from The Adventures of Tintin comic books & being instructed to find a man dressed as Tintin and telling him their character's names. When they gave Tintin the correct names, they were given a clue that instructed them to book a flight to their next destination: Panama City, Panama. All four teams got tickets on the same flight to Panama and arrived together the next day. When they landed they made their way to Parara Puru and signed up for one of four times to receive a tattoo the next morning. Said tattoo instructed them to their next location: the San Francisco Bay Towers. When they found the Towers, they also found a Roadblock, which required one team member to walk 65 feet between the Towers on a tightrope 35 stories tall. When the task was completed, teams were given a clue instructing them to find a man under a rooster which they had to figure out meant the Ferdinand de Lesseps statue. Once there, teams were faced with a Detour. The choice of tasks was between traveling to a nearby fish market and delivering fish to different marked stalls or traveling to a sandals stall and crafting a pair of sandals using one piece of leather each. Marcus and Amani were the only team to choose the fish task. When the task was completed, teams made their way to the Plaza de la Catedral and had to find the name of the Pit Stop in the dresses and necklaces of a group of tamborito dancers. Andy and Tommy found the wrong name on the dancers and instructed their taxi driver to a location nowhere near the Pit Stop. That allowed the other three teams the time to figure out the right location: Panama Viejo. Jeremy and Sandy were the first team to reach the Pit Stop and were awarded with a trip for two to Turks and Caicos. Andy and Tommy couldn't overcome their big mistake and arrived at the Pit Stop last, eliminating them from the race. Next week, the final 3 couples race to the Finish Line & one pair will win the $1 million prize!

Astro & Drew Both Voted Off "The X Factor US"

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Astro and Drew were both voted off in a double elimination. Yesterday, the Top 7 acts performed Michael Jackson songs while his brothers and kids sat in the audience. Once again, the judges thought that Melanie Amaro was the standout of the night. Tonight, Steve revealed that the act with the least amount of viewer votes was Astro. Since it was a double elimination, he was automatically booted from the competition with no chance to save himself. That left Marcus Canty and Drew as the next two acts with the least amount of votes, so they had to sing one more time before the judges voted on who should go home. Simon voted to send home Marcus, but the other three judges voted to send home Drew, eliminating her from the competition. Did the right two acts go home? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

Cochran Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" John Cochran became the thirteenth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with Cochran pleading to the core group of five Upolus to keep him in the game and vote out Edna at the next tribal council instead. Albert and Coach seemed to like the idea, but the other three weren't buying what Cochran was selling. The next day, the tribe traveled to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Ozzy, Dawn and Whitney. The challenge consisted of balancing various sized dishes on the end of an arm-like device. Dawn's dishes were the first to fall, followed soon after by Whitney's. That meant that both women were eliminated from the game for good and became the third and fourth members of the jury. With Ozzy's win he was able to stay on Redemption Island another three days until a new challenger arrived. Back at camp, Albert's lazy behavior caused his tribemates to wonder if he had earned his spot in the game. The next day, the tribe competed in a Reward/Immunity challenge, which was a replay of the sandbag toss/coconut slingshot game from earlier this season. Albert, Rick and Sophie were the three castaways who moved on to the second round, with Albert ultimately winning the challenge and earning himself immunity. He was also awarded a spa treatment with a shower and a massage. He was allowed to choose one other person to take part in the reward and he chose Coach. He then asked Jeff if he could give away his own reward and give it to another person. Jeff said yes and Albert gave the reward to Cochran. After their massages, Cochran approached Coach with the idea of teaming up with Albert and Edna and voting out Rick. Coach was torn between staying true to the original alliance of five or flipping to Edna and Cochran, knowing they would never vote him out. At tribal council, Coach decided to stick with his original alliance and booted Cochran. Next week, he'll duel challenge king Ozzy for the right to stay in the game.

"Grandparents" Bill & Cathi Alden the Seventh Team Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" grandparents Bill and Cathi Alden became the seventh team eliminated from the race. The episode began with Andy & Tommy and Bill & Cathi completing the bodybuilding task and arriving at the Pit Stop. Even though Bill & Cathi were the last team to check in, they weren't eliminated since the leg continued on. The five teams were given clues that instructed them to drive to the Ford Proving Grounds in Lommel, Belgium where they found a Roadblock. One team member had to test drive a Ford Mustang in three different challenges. First, they had to accelerate to 100 mph and brake in a designated spot. Next, they had to navigate a slalom course within 16 seconds and then finish the task by performing two victory doughnuts. Not surprisingly, all the men decided to do this challenge. When the task was completed, teams were instructed to the town of Ghent, where a Detour awaited them. The choice of tasks was between building a raft using provided materials and searching the Lieve canal for two halves of their next clue or building a waffle stand and baking & decorating 18 Belgian waffles to a chef's satisfaction. Finally, teams traveled to Muur van Geraardsbergen where they released 100 homing pigeons and were given an address to where the pigeons flew to. Once there, they retrieved their last clue from one of the pigeons. It revealed that this leg's Pit Stop was the Atomium in Brussels. Andy & Tommy were the first team to complete all the tasks and arrived at the Pit Stop first, earning them both a new 2012 Ford Mustang. Bill & Cathi never got out of last place and arrived at the Pit Stop last, eliminating them from the race. Now, only four teams and two legs of the race remain!

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Lakoda Rayne and LeRoy Bell were both voted off in a double elimination. Since it was a double elimination, they were automatically booted from the competition with no chance to save themselves. Steve then revealed that the next two acts with the least amount of votes was LeRoy Bell & Marcus Canty. Those two contestants were able to sing one more time before the judges voted on who should go home. L.A. and Simon voted to send home LeRoy, while Nicole and Paula voted to send home Marcus, creating the first Deadlock of the season. Since the judges were split on who to eliminate, the decision shifted back to America. Steve revealed that the person with the fewer amount of votes was LeRoy and he was eliminated from the competition. Did the right two acts go home? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

"Bachelorette" Couple Ali & Roberto Break Up

"Bachelorette" couple Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have announced that they have split up. "Ali and Roberto have ended their relationship" a representative for the former "Bachelorette" couple told People magazine today. "As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple's privacy." They got engaged and moved to San Diego together last year and had set a wedding date for this past spring. The wedding was postponed, however, when Ali broke her femur in a kickboxing session. Last month, Us Weekly reported that the pair were "miserable" in their relationship due to frequent big fights and the challenge of juggling their busy work schedules. "Their relationship has been tumultuous since day one" a mutual friend told Us. "They're either extremely happy or they can't stand each other. They bring out the worst in each other". That leaves only two "Bachelorette" couples left: Trista and Ryan & Ashley and JP.

"Grandparents" Bill and Cathi Alden Lag Behind on Continuing Leg of "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" grandparents Bill and Cathi Alden stumbled on the final challenge and seemed to fall behind the other teams, however what they don't know is that the leg isn't over and the teams are still racing. The episode began with the five remaining teams being instructed to find the statue of Hans Christian Anderson somewhere in Copenhagen. When they found it, they also found a Roadblock, which required one team member to memorize a poem on the base of the statue and then use a map on a bicycle's wheel to ride themselves to a nearby theater where they would have to recite the poem verbatim in a dramatic reading. When the task was completed, teams were told to drive to Legoland Billund where they had to put together a Lego puzzle while sitting in a spinning teacup type ride. The completed puzzle revealed their next destination: Hamburg train station, where they were instructed to take a train to Brussels, Belgium. All teams got on the same train to Brussels, which made a stop halfway through in Cologne. Ernie and Cindy, however, mistakenly lost their tickets from Cologne to Brussels which made them worried that they would fall way behind the other teams. In the end, though, the train conductor never asked for their tickets and they arrived in Brussels with the rest of the teams. Their first stop in Brussels was the European Parliament building, where teams were given a clue that instructed them to go the Concert Noble and take part in a bodybuilding competition. Once there, teams had to put on bikinis, cover themselves in tanning oil, and learn a bodybuilding pose routine. They then had to perform the routine for a set of judges and receive a score of 12 or better in order to complete the task. Marcus and Amani were the first team to earn 12 points and made it to the Pit Stop first, earning them a trip for two to Panama. Phil then told them that the leg wasn't over and gave them their next clue. The episode ended with Bill and Cathi & Andy and Tommy battling it out for last place.

Stacey Francis Voted Off "The X Factor USA"

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Stacey Francis from Nicole's Over 30 category became the third act voted off the show. Yesterday, the Top 10 acts performed rock songs in the hopes of winning America's votes. All four mentors agreed that Josh Krajcik was the standout of the night. On the other hand, there was some harsh words for LeRoy Bell, Lakoda Rayne and Stacey Francis. Tonight, Steve revealed that the two acts with the least amount of viewer votes were Stacey Francis and Astro. Those two contestants then sang one more time before the judges voted on who should go home. However, Astro almost decided not to perform because he was upset about being in the bottom two. Even with Astro's temper tantrum, all the judges except for Stacey's mentor Nicole decided to vote out Stacey instead, eliminating her from the competition. Did the right person go home? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!

Dawn Meehan and Whitney Duncan Both Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" Dawn Meehan and Whitney Duncan were both voted out and sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with the whole tribe traveling to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Ozzy, Jim and Keith. The challenge consisted of balancing two poles between the tops of castaway's hands and a board above their heads. Jim was the first person to drop his poles, followed soon after by Keith. That meant that both guys were eliminated from the game for good and became the first and second jury members. With Ozzy's win, he was able to stay on Redemption Island until a new challenger arrived. Back at camp, Cochran debated whether to stay with the Upolu members or rejoin his old tribemates, Dawn and Whitney. The next day, the tribe competed in an Immunity challenge, which consisted of balancing a bowl of rice on their heads and walking across two teeter-totters to fill a basket on the other side. Sophie ended up winning the challenge and was awarded immunity. Jeff also told the tribe that there would be a twist at tribal council. Back at camp, Dawn and Whitney approached Cochran and Albert about forming an alliance and getting rid of Edna. Albert thought it was a good idea, but knew they needed one more person to make it work. He decided to approach Sophie with the plan, but she was hesitant to rock the boat. At tribal council, the Upolu members decided to stick together and voted out Dawn. Jeff then announced that the twist was that another Immunity challenge would take place immediately and one more castaway would be voted out. The challenge consisted of answering a series of survival related questions. Sophie narrowly edged out Whitney for the win, earning her second straight immunity necklace. It was a no-brainer for Upolu as they unanimously voted out Whitney. Now, Ozzy must duel Dawn & Whitney and only one castaway will stay in the game!

"Father/Son" Laurence and Zac Sunderland Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" father/son adventurers Laurence and Zac Sunderland became the sixth team eliminated from the race. The episode began with the six remaining teams flying from Malawi, Africa to Copenhagen, Denmark. The teams were given a spot on a flight that landed in Copenhagen the next morning at 8:20am, however all the teams except Amani and Marcus got flights that arrived that evening. It didn't really matter though, since the first destination - Vor Frelsers Kirke tower - didn't open til 7:30 in the morning. When it did open, teams climbed to the top of the tower and searched for two clues that when combined revealed the name of their next destination - Frederiksborg Slot. Jeremy and Sandy read the wrong clue, causing them to fall behind the other teams and giving Marcus and Amani a chance to catch up. When teams arrived, they found a Roadblock, which required one team member to dress in a period costume and learn a complex three-part dance from an instructor. When the task was completed, teams were instructed to Frilandsmuseet where a Detour awaited. The choice of tasks was between laying out a proper rabbit show jumping course and then having a rabbit run through the course twice or making six sticks of butter using a traditional butter churn and then stamping out the sticks using a special mold. After that, the teams traveled to Karlstrup Windmill where they found another Double U-Turn. Ernie and Cindy were the first team to reach the Double U-Turn and decided to use it on Bill and Cathi, forcing them to go back and complete the other Detour task. When Bill and Cathi arrived and saw they were U-Turned, they decided to also penalize a team and they picked Laurence and Zac. Unsurprisingly, Ernie and Cindy arrived at the Pit Stop first and won a trip for two to Fiji. Bill and Cathi not only completed both Detour tasks, but ended up coming in second as well. Laurence and Zac, however, couldn't overcome their U-Turn and arrived at the Pit Stop last, eliminating them from the race. Who will be the next to go?

L.A. and Nicole voted to send home Stereo Hogzz and since Paula couldn't decide she picked Lakoda Rayne, leaving the deciding vote to Simon. Jim & Ozzy Voted Off "Survivor: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" Ozzy Lusth and Jim Rice were both voted out and sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with the aftermath of last week's tribal council where Cochran flipped on his former tribe. Needless to say, they weren't too happy with him and they let him know it. The next day, the tribe competed in an Immunity challenge, which consisted of first tossing a coconut into a hole in the ground. The first four castaways to make a shot moved on to the second round, which consisted of navigating an obstacle course with coconut water in their mouths til they reached a tube which they had to fill by spitting out the water. Jim was the first person to fill his tube and was awarded immunity. Back at camp, Jim contemplated giving his immunity necklace to Ozzy in the hopes of rattling the Upolu members. However, at tribal council, Jim didn't go through with the plan which sealed Ozzy's fate and sent him to Redemption Island for the second time. The next day, the tribe competed in another Immunity challenge or should I say three members of the tribe. Jeff offered the castaways pastries and iced coffee in exchange for sitting out the challenge. The entire Upolu alliance, including Cochran opted to take the feast, leaving the immunity to be decided between Dawn, Jim, and Whitney. Those three had to stand on a narrow beam while balancing a ball on a wooden bow. Whitney outlasted the other two and won immunity. Back at camp, Jim scrambled to save himself from being voted out by approaching Albert and Sophie about teaming up. However they didn't take the bait & Jim was booted 7-3 at tribal council. Now Keith, Ozzy and Jim will duel for the right to stay in the game!

"Siblings" Justin and Jennifer Young the Fifth Team Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" siblings Justin and Jennifer Young became the fifth team eliminated from the race. The episode began with all seven remaining teams traveling via bus from Lilongwe to Salima, Malawi. When they arrived they immediately found a Roadblock, which required one team member to use a bicycle taxi known as a kibaza to take a customer holding fish to one of three different destinations in the village of Salima. Before Amani and Marcus could start the Roadblock, they had to complete their Speed Bump task which consisted of solving a slide puzzle that depicted the Malawian flag. Jennifer mistakenly left the clue with her brother when she went to do the Roadblock, causing her to have a hard time figuring out how to complete the task. By the time she traveled back to retrieve the clue, all the other teams had moved on. Next up, the teams made their way to Lake Malawi where a Detour awaited them. The choice of tasks was between paddling out to a series of drummers on the lake and then paddling back to the finish line or unloading a ferry on the lake by carrying two boxes of cabbage, two bundles of sugar cane, two brooms, one chair, one fan, and eight passengers to the shore. Every team except for Amani and Marcus chose the paddling task. Ernie and Cindy had a difficult time paddling and decided to use their Express Pass, allowing them to skip the task altogether. When the task was completed, teams traveled to the Jamaica Shop and found a Double U-Turn, which let two teams make two other teams go back and complete the other Detour task. Laurence and Zac where the only team to use the U-Turn, and they mistakenly used it on a team that was ahead of them - Amani and Marcus. In a race to the Pit Stop, Andy and Tommy narrowly edged out Ernie and Cindy for first place, earning them $7,500 each. Justin and Jennifer couldn't overcome their earlier mistake and arrived at the Pit Stop last, eliminating them from the race. Six teams remain, who will be eliminated next?

inTENsity Voted Off "The X Factor USA"

On tonight's "X Factor USA" results show, Paula's group inTENsity became the first act voted off the show. Yesterday, the Top 12 acts performed live for America's vote. All four mentors had positive comments for most of the acts, although Simon didn't love LeRoy Bell or Lakoda Rayne. Tonight, however, Steve revealed that the two acts with the least amount of viewer votes were Paula's groups inTENsity & Stereo Hogzz. Those two groups then sang for their lives one last time before the judges voted on who should go home. Simon voted to send home Stereo Hogzz, but the other three judges picked inTENsity, making them the first act eliminated from the competition. Did the right act go home? Keith Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 26 year old water treatment tech Keith Tollefson became the eighth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with Ozzy arriving at Redemption Island and telling Christine that the reason he was voted out was because Cochran played the hidden immunity idol. The next day, both tribes traveled to Redemption Island to watch Ozzy and Christine's duel. Before the challenge began, Ozzy put on a show and pretended to be angry with Cochran for voting him out. However, the Upolu members didn't buy it due to Ozzy's bad acting. Jeff then announced that the winner of this duel would get to re-enter the game. The challenge consisted of using rope and sticks to make a pole in order to retrieve three keys. Ozzy crushed Christine in the duel, earning himself the right to re-enter the game and sending Christine home for good. Jeff then announced that the two tribes were now merged, meaning Ozzy's plan ended up working just as he wanted. After the traditional merge feast, Cochran started playing his role of double agent for Savaii, but soon began to contemplate flipping over to Upolu for real. However, he did decide to give Ozzy back his hidden immunity idol. Later, the tribe competed in the first individual Immunity Challenge, which consisted of balancing on a small perch while holding a coconut between two ropes. The last man and last woman balancing their coconuts would each win immunity. In the end, Dawn won immunity for the women and Ozzy took the prize for the men. Back at camp, the former Savaii members decided they would use the hidden idol on Whitney, meaning three of their group would now be safe at tribal council. Cochran, however, still didn't like the possibility of the vote being a tie and everyone without immunity pulling rocks to decide who would go. At tribal council, the vote did indeed end up as a tie between Keith and Rick, forcing a re-vote before the inevitable pulling of the rocks. Not wanting to put his fate in the game to chance, Cochran decided to switch his vote to Keith, sending him to Redemption Island. With Cochran now aligned with Upolu, do the former Savaii have any hope left?

"Married Couple" Amani and Marcus Avoid Elimination on "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" married couple Amani and Marcus Pollard avoided elimination despite arriving last on this leg's Pit Stop. The episode began with the seven remaining teams flying from Bangkok, Thailand to Malawi, Africa. When they landed, teams traveled to the Limbe Tobacco Warehouse where a Roadblock awaited them. One team member had to transport ten 200-pound bales of tobacco leaves through the warehouse to a drop-off zone using only a hand-cart that carried one bag at a time. Amani and Marcus got a bad taxi driver, which caused them to fall behind the other teams. When the task was completed, teams were instructed to make their way to Memorial Tower, where they found a Detour. The choice of tasks was between using a manual sewing machine to finish making a customer's suit or building two toy trucks using everyday materials for the schoolchildren at a nearby school. Lastly, teams traveled to the R-K Furniture Shop where they had to transport two handcrafted wooden beds to Kumbali Village and then carry the beds to the Pit Stop. Justin and Jennifer were the first team to reach the Pit Stop, but couldn't check in because they hadn't paid their driver. That allowed Andy and Tommy to come in first and they were awarded with a trip for two to the British Virgin Islands. Bill and Cathi also forgot to pay their driver, causing them to fall from third to sixth place. Amani and Marcus couldn't overcome their earlier bad luck and arrived at the Pit Stop last. However, it was a non elimination leg & all they got was a Speed Bump for next week.

Ozzy Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" veteran player Ozzy Lusth volunteered to be sent to Redemption Island and his tribe granted his wish and voted him out. The episode began with the duel between Christine and Mikayla. The challenge consisted of disassembling a box, using the pieces as planks to build a bridge and then using some of the planks to solve a puzzle. Once again, Christine emerged the winner and Mikayla was sent home for good. Back at the Savaii camp, Ozzy approached Cochran with the idea of volunteering to be sent to Redemption Island if they lost the Immunity challenge so that Ozzy could beat Christine and re-enter the game. That would mean the tribes would be even with six castaways each going into the merge. Over on Upolu, Coach decided to up the morale on the tribe and pretended he and Sophie had just found the hidden immunity idol, when in reality they had found it days before. The next day, the tribes met up for the Reward/Immunity challenge, which consisted of castaways pairing up and navigating an obstacle course blindfolded in the water. Once they collected four bags of masks, they made their way back to the beach and had to match up the masks using only their sense of touch. The tribes were pretty even the entire challenge, until a mistake by Cochran made Savaii fall behind and allowed Upolu to take the win. Besides immunity, Upolu were also awarded with an advance screening of the new movie Jack & Jill. Back at Savaii's camp, the tribe started thinking that sending Cochran to Redemption Island was a better plan than sending Ozzy. However, the next morning Ozzy was adamant that they send him instead, as he felt he stood a better chance of beating Christine. At tribal council, Ozzy handed over his immunity idol to Cochran and made him promise to give it back to him when he returned. The tribe then unanimously voted Ozzy out and sent him to Redemption Island. Next week, he'll duel five time champion Christine and the winner will most likely re-enter the game!

"Twin Sisters" Liz and Marie Canavan Eliminated from "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" twin sisters Liz and Marie Canavan became the fourth team eliminated from the race. The episode began with the eight remaining teams continuing to race in Phuket, Thailand. The teams were first instructed to travel to the Ton Pariwat Wildlife Conservation Area, where they rode elephants up the river to reach a Roadblock. One team member had to search for a man playing a traditional Thai flute. They then had to search the water around him for a bag that contained their next clue. Before the twins could start the Roadblock, they had to complete their Speed Bump task which consisted of washing and cleaning up after one of the elephants. Next up, the teams traveled to a nearby store where they had to disassemble a traditional spirit house and deliver it to a local temple. When they got there they were faced with another Roadblock, which required the other teammate to reassemble the house exactly as it was. A few teams thought that would be the task and had payed close attention to what the original house looked like. When the house was rebuilt, teams were given a clue that told them to travel by bus 550 miles to Bangkok. Laurence and Zac were one of the first teams to get to the bus terminal, but thought they made a mistake when they boarded a first class bus so they switched to a different bus even though they didn't have to. When teams arrived in Bangkok, they made their way to the Bangkok Noi Canal, where they had to feed the fish at the river before heading to the Pit Stop. Amani and Marcus were the first team to reach the Pit Stop and were awarded with a trip for two to Bali. Liz and Marie could never catch up to the other teams and arrived at the Pit Stop last, eliminating them from the race. Now only seven teams remain!

Mikayla Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 22 year old lingerie football player Mikayla Wingle became the sixth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with an angry Ozzy telling his tribe that he was playing the game alone now and revealing that he had found the hidden immunity idol. The next day, four castaways traveled to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Christine and Elyse. Once again, Christine emerged the winner, this time beating Elyse in a shuffleboard game. Back at Upolu's camp, Brandon stumbled upon a clue to the hidden immunity idol and shared it with Albert and Coach. What Brandon didn't know though, was that Coach had already found the idol and hadn't told him. The next day, the tribes met up for the Reward/ Immunity challenge, which consisted of assembling a wheelbarrow, going through an obstacle course while picking up two loads of coconuts and then emptying them into a trough. Then, three other tribe members had to disassemble the wheelbarrow and use the same pieces to construct a slingshot which would be used to fire the coconuts at five targets. Upolu got off to an early lead, but Savaii was able to catch up late in the challenge and ended up winning. Besides immunity, they were also awarded with a picnic at a local resort.  Back at the Upolu camp, Albert, Sophie and Mikayla wanted to get rid of Edna while Coach, Brandon and Edna wanted Mikayla out. The deciding vote came down to Rick. At tribal council, Rick sided with Coach and Brandon & voted out Mikayla. Next week, she'll duel four time winner Christine for the right to stay in the game.

"Twin Sisters" Liz and Marie Canavan Avoid Elimination on "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" twin sisters Liz and Marie Canavan avoided elimination despite arriving last on this leg's Pit Stop. The episode began with the eight remaining teams flying from Yogyakarta, Indonesia to Phuket, Thailand. Andy & Tommy and Laurence & Zac, who were an hour ahead of the other six teams, decided to fly to Jakarta and wait to book a connecting flight to Phuket until they landed. The other teams didn't take any chances and booked their entire flights right away. When Andy & Tommy and Laurence & Zac landed in Jakarta, they discovered that the only direct flight to Phuket was fully booked. They were forced to take a flight with a stop in Bangkok that arrived 50 minutes after the other teams. However, they were able to catch up since all the teams had to spend the night at the Nonthasak Marine because it didn't open until 8am. The next morning, the teams rode speedboats to a nearby beach where a Detour awaited them. The choice of tasks was between building a coral nursery, transporting it via kayak to the ocean floor and placing coral pieces into the nursery or setting up 20 beach chairs and 10 umbrellas so that they exactly matched ones already on the beach. A few teams had trouble with the coral task and decided to switch to the beach task. Next up, the teams were given a compass and a medallion and were instructed to travel north for 13 minutes until they reached the island shown on their medallion: Soap Island. There they found a Roadblock, which made one team member climb the island's sheer rock wall until they reached a bird's nest. For the third week in a row, Andy & Tommy were the first team to complete all the tasks and make it to the Pit Stop first, earning them $5,000 each. Liz & Marie arrived last, but were spared from elimination and given a Speed Bump task for the next leg.

Elyse Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 27 year old dance instructor Elyse Umemoto became the fifth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with four castaways traveling to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Christine and Stacey. Before the duel began, Stacey decided to spill the beans on her old tribe and told Savaii that Coach was in charge over on Upolu. When the challenge commenced, the women faced off in a game of coordination where they had to catch balls that were spiraling down a metal track. Stacey was first to drop one of her balls, giving Christine the win and sending herself home for good. When the Upolu members returned to camp, they told their tribemates what Stacey had said and Coach wasn't too happy about it. Later, Albert found a clue to the whereabouts of the hidden immunity idol and decided to share it with Coach and Sophie. After some searching, Coach found the hidden idol in a tree and shared his discovery with his alliance. The next day, the tribes met up for the Reward/ Immunity challenge, which consisted of ripping pieces of meat off a big pork roast using only their mouths and transporting it to their team basket. After ten minutes, the meat was weighed and Upolu emerged the winner by a tiny two ounces. Besides immunity, they were also awarded vegetables, spices, bread and all the meat they had collected. Back at the Savaii camp, Jim approached Whitney and Keith with his plan to blindside Elyse. They liked the idea, but didn't know if they wanted to turn their backs on Ozzy. At tribal council, Whitney and Keith decided to throw their votes to Dawn. That allowed the alliance of Jim, Cochran and Dawn to have just enough votes to boot Elyse. Next week, she'll duel three time winner Christine for the right to stay in the game.

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" former Vegas showgirls Kaylani and Lisa became the third team eliminated from the race. The episode began with the nine remaining teams continuing to race in Indonesia. They were first instructed to join a group of reenacters of the Dutch colonial era Bicycle Guard and ride their bikes through the streets of Yogyakarta to Fort Vredeburg in order to receive their next clue. During the ride, Ernie's bike pedal fell off, causing him and Cindy to fall behind the other teams. When they reached the fort, teams were instructed to travel to Salakmalang Village, where a Detour awaited them. The choice of tasks was between carrying lunch to rice paddy workers and then helping the workers plant 300 rice seedlings or filling two bags with grass, transporting two sheep to a shed and then retrieving six buckets of water from a well to fill a trough. It was explicitly stated in the clue that teams could only use two buckets at a time to fill the trough, however Laurence and Zac didn't spot that and broke the rules. When the task was completed, teams made their way to Borobudur temple, where they found a Roadblock. One team member had to walk around the temple and count how many Buddha statues were in one of four different poses. Many teams worked together on the task since it was very difficult. Laurence and Zac arrived at the Pit Stop first, but were given a 15 minute penalty for breaking the rules earlier. That allowed Andy and Tommy to be the first team to check in and they were awarded with a trip for two to Dubai. In a close finish, Kaylani and Lisa arrived at the Pit Stop last and were eliminated from the race.

Huge Spoiler: "Survivor 24: One World" will be Men Vs. Women all living on the same beach

The upcoming winter season of "Survivor" will have some major twists to the game. It has been revealed by a reliable spoiler that "Survivor 24: One World" will feature tribes of men vs. women who are separate but live on the same beach. It's also been confirmed that there will be no returning cast members and no Redemption Island. The upcoming season has already finished filming in Samoa, which is the same place the current season was shot in. This will be the first time in "Survivor" history that two tribes will live together on the same beach from day one. The decision to make the tribes split by gender was probably to make it easy for the viewers to know who was on which tribe. The new season premieres in February. What do you think of these changes? Are you liking the idea of two tribes living together? What about no returnees or Redemption Island? Leave a comment & share your thoughts

Stacey Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 44 year old mortician Stacey Powell became the fourth castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with Jim approaching Cochran with the idea of teaming up and getting rid of Ozzy's closest ally, Elyse. Cochran loved the idea and was able to get Dawn in on the plan too. Over on Upolu, Brandon once again apologized to Mikalya and then informed Edna that she was at the bottom of the pecking order in their alliance. Later, two members of each tribe traveled to Redemption Island to watch the duel between Christine and Papa Bear, which consisted of tossing sandbags onto crates. Papa Bear made a come from behind surge, but Christine squeaked out the win at the end, sending Papa Bear home for good. Back at camp, Edna knew she was on the outs with her tribe so she decided to up her social game, annoying some of her tribemates in the process. The next day, the tribes met up for the Reward/ Immunity challenge, which consisted of three players from each tribe holding as much weight as they could on a pole that rested across their shoulders. The challenge came down to Dawn vs. Stacey and in the end Dawn pulled out the win for Savaii. Besides immunity, they were also awarded a rooster and two hens. Later at Upolu, Stacey tried to create friction on her tribe by telling Brandon about a secret alliance he wasn't part of. When Brandon told this to Coach, Coach got upset and told him not to believe things from people on the chopping block. At tribal council, the real alliance stayed strong and booted Stacey. Next week, she'll duel Christine for the right to stay in the game.

"Dating Couple" Ethan & Jenna and "Partners" Ron & Bill Eliminated from "Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's "Amazing Race 19" dating couple Ethan Zohn & Jenna Morasca and domestic partners Ron Zeitz & Bill Smith were both eliminated from the race in the first ever Double Elimination. The episode began with the eleven teams flying from Taipei, Taiwan to Jakarta, Indonesia. When they landed, they had to take an overnight train to Yogyakarta and then travel via taxi to Goa Jomblang cave, where a Roadblock awaited them. One team member had to descend down into the cave and then search for a traditional Javanese mask and a dagger known as a kris, before returning to the surface and exchanging them for their next clue. Grandparents Bill & Cathi were the first team to reach the Roadblock, but they had to complete their Speed Bump task before continuing on. The task consisted of untangling a pile of rope until they had enough length to reach a karabiner across the field. The next challenge was the Detour, which was a choice between dressing up in costumes and dancing in the streets until they made 30,000 rupiah ($3.40) or convincing fifteen motorbike riders to let them park their bike at a local mall. Upon completion of both Detour tasks, teams were instructed to travel to the Aisyiyah orphanage and donate their money to receive their next clue. A small sign at the orphanage informed the teams that they had to donate all of the money in their possession, not just the money they earned during the Detour. Many teams didn't spot the sign and had to go back to the orphanage and give the rest of their money. Once teams donated the money, they received a coat of arms from the children and had to figure out that it belonged to the sultan and that his palace was this leg's Pit Stop. Ernie & Cindy arrived at the Pit Stop first, but couldn't check in since they hadn't donated all their money. Andy & Tommy did read the sign and therefore checked in first, earning them a trip for two to Ireland. Ethan & Jenna and Ron & Bill were the tenth and eleventh teams, respectively, to check in and since it was a Double Elimination, they were both sent home.

Mark "Papa Bear" Caruso the Third Castaway Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 48 year old retired NYPD detective Mark Caruso aka Papa Bear became the third castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with Semhar and Christine facing off in the first Redemption Island duel of the season. The challenge consisted of balancing a wooden figurine on top of a pole, which got progressively longer as the challenge went on. Christine was able to outlast Semhar, keeping her in the game and sending Semhar home for good. Back at Upolu's camp, Brandon decided to tell his fellow tribemates that he was Russell Hantz's nephew. He then got into another argument with Mikayla, which accomplished nothing except for creating tension around camp. Over on Savaii, Ozzy decided to tell Keith that he found the hidden immunity idol. Unbeknownst to Ozzy, Keith then ran over to Whitney and told her the news. The next day, the tribes met up for the combined Reward/ Immunity challenge, which consisted of one castaway running across a floating bridge, grabbing a bag containing a banner and then being pulled back to shore on a bodyboard by four other castaways. Finally, the two remaining players retrieved the five bags using a grappling hook and assembled the banners inside to look like their tribe's flag. The teams were neck and neck until the grappling portion, when Coach's great performance clinched the win for Upolu. Besides immunity, they were also awarded with chocolate, coffee, cookies and tea. Back at camp, Papa Bear knew he was on the chopping block so he went looking for the hidden immunity idol. Since he couldn't find it, he decided to create a fake idol to trick his tribe into thinking he had found it. At tribal council, the other castaways decided to call his bluff and voted him out anyway. Next week, he'll duel Christine for the right to stay in the game.

"Grandparents" Bill & Cathi Avoid Elimination on Season Premiere of "The Amazing Race 19"

On tonight's season premiere of "The Amazing Race 19" grandparents Bill and Cathi Alden avoided elimination despite arriving last on this leg's Pit Stop. The season began at the Hsi Lai temple in California with Phil informing the eleven new teams that the couple who arrived first on this leg would be awarded the Express Pass, which would allow them to skip any one task of their choice up to leg eight. He then told them that their first task was to search through hundreds of umbrellas for one that had the correct set of letters printed on it, which when combined twice with six other letters would reveal the name of their first destination: Taipei, Taiwan. Once they found the correct umbrella, Phil gave them the keys to a Ford Explorer. The last team to find an umbrella would be penalized with a Hazard, which was an additional task that must be completed in this leg of the race. Snowboarders Andy and Tommy were the first team to find an umbrella and made their way to the airport. Cocktail waitresses Kaylani and Lisa were last to grab an umbrella and got stuck with the Hazard. Their race went from bad to worse, when Kaylani dropped her passport on the ground at a gas station. They went back to look for it, but couldn't find it and went back to the airport. Their luck finally changed, however, when two strangers found the passport, tweeted their discovery online and decided to drive to the airport and deliver it. When the teams landed in Taipei, they were instructed to make their way to Ximending commercial district and look up for their next clue. They had to figure out that their next location was written in Chinese on a large electronic billboard. Bill and Cathi couldn't find the commercial district and fell way behind the other teams. Once the teams translated the clue, they made their way to the Taipei Confucius Temple, where a Roadblock awaited. One team member had to find a payphone and listen to one of Confucius's proverbs. They would then have to repeat the proverb verbatim to a temple monk, without writing it down. Before they could attempt the Roadblock, Kaylani and Lisa had to travel to the Core Pacific City Mall, where one of them had to perform an indoor bungee jump to complete their Hazard. Back at the Roadblock, Liz had trouble remembering the proverb, which cost her and her twin sister Marie valuable time. When teams completed the Roadblock, they took a taxi to Dajia Riverside Park where their final task awaited them. One team member had to join the rowing crew of a dragon boat team, while the other member beat a drum to keep pace. Engaged couple Ernie and Cindy were the first team to complete all the tasks and arrived at the Pit Stop first, earning them the coveted Express Pass. Bill and Cathi couldn't make up the time they lost earlier in the leg and arrived at the Pit Stop last. However, they weren't eliminated since this was a non-elimination leg. Phil then told them that not only would they be given a Speed Bump task on the next leg, but that two teams would be sent home next week in the first ever Double Elimination.

Christine Voted Off "Survivor 23: South Pacific"

On tonight's "Survivor: South Pacific" 39 year old teacher Christine Shields Markoski became the second castaway voted out and was sent to Redemption Island. The episode began with Semhar arriving at Redemption Island and settling in. Over on Savaii, Ozzy decided to go searching for the hidden immunity idol and he ended up finding it in a tree. On the Upolu tribe, Brandon decided to tell Coach that he was Russell Hantz's nephew in the hopes of gaining Coach's trust. He also expressed his dislike of Mikayla, because he thought she flaunted her body and was playing the guys ala Parvati. The next day, the tribes met up for the combined Reward/Immunity Challenge which consisted of untangling ribbons from a large pole and then completing a puzzle by sliding around big, heavy boxes. Upolu got off to an early lead, but Savaii was able to catch up and ultimately overtake them during the puzzle portion. Besides immunity, they were also awarded with pillows, blankets and mats. Back at camp, Coach came up with a plan to split the votes between Christine and Stacey in case Christine had found the hidden immunity idol. At the last minute, though, Brandon made a push to get rid of Mikayla which Coach didn't want to do. At tribal council, Brandon admitted that he told Christine and Stacey to vote out Mikayla in the hopes his other tribemates would as well. In the end, however, the tribe stuck with the original plan and since Christine didn't have an immunity idol she was voted out. Next week, she'll duel Semhar for the right to stay in the game.
